Ashley Emerich
Ashley Emerich, of Ava, served as a candidate in the College of the Ozarks Homecoming Coronation. Emerich is a 2008 Home School / Ava Victory Academy graduate.
More than 40 C of O student clubs and organizations nominated candidates; votes by the student body determined the top 20 finalists. A panel of judges selected the top 10 based on interviews with the candidates. Then, each of the top 10 ladies answered an on-stage question during the Coronation. The judges crowned the queen and her court based upon the impromptu questions and answers.
Additional factors taken into consideration were poise, personality and stage presence.
