Basketball fans will have an opportunity to see the Ava Bears and Lady Bears in action next Tuesday night.
The pre-season scrimmage will be held in the high school gym beginning at 5:30 p.m.
The freshmen, JV and varsity boys and girls will be having a pre-season scrimmage, plus there will be an opportunity for you to have your picture taken with your favorite player(s) or with the Ava Bear. Team photos will also be on sale with the players on hand to autograph your picture.
The concession stand will be open selling hot dogs, chili, Frito pies, and chili dogs for $5 a meal, or $15 for a family of four. Basketball t-shirts, ‘Bear wear’, and window decals will be on sale, and parent ads for the upcoming basketball program will be available to purchase along with Bear Booster memberships.
Early registration for Intramural Basketball will also be held at the tip-off for first through sixth grade students.
The intramural clinics and games will begin in January, but this will be an opportunity for students to register early and watch their coaches play some basketball.
Registration will run from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the lobby of the high school gym. The cost to participate in the intramural program is $10 and this includes a T-shirt, six Saturdays of games and a tournament to wrap up the program.
