Saturday, many hunters came by for chili, potato soup, sandwiches and pie. We had a long, but very successful day. It was a fundraiser for Brother Al Pulis and Pastor Neal’s mission trip to Africa. They are setting up a well-drilling operation. They will also visit orphanages and churches while there.
We came together on our Lord’s Day and read from Matthew 22. Prayer requests were given for Tammy Call, Don Smith, Juanita Menzies, all having surgery, the Soloman and Hampton family, Jeanie Cummins, our nation, leaders and troops. Kim Humbyrd prayed this prayer.
After Sunday school, Brad Siler and Kevin Hodges received our Lord’s tithes and offerings. Kevin prayed the offertory prayer.
Testimonies were given. Al and Marilyn Pulis shared about the trip to Africa coming up in January 2012. A love offering was received.
The monthly fellowship dinner was enjoyed by those present. Yes, we still had chili and pie.
At 6 p.m., Pastor Neal prayed followed by singing. LeaAnn Crum sang, “I Believe”.
Brother Lynn read from Luke 17 and I Thessalonians 4. He shared how God is always in control. He has a calendar, there are cycles of judgment and feasts are appointed times of God. We need to consider our relationship with Jesus.
We closed with a special prayer time at the altar. Oh how God’s people need to pray, pray and pray.
Come and be with us for prayer time on Tuesday at 7 pm, Bible Study on Wednesdays at 7 p.. and Sunday School and Church each Sunday at 10 a.m. You are always welcome.
