New Hope Freewill Baptist Church

During Wednesday evening Bible study we had 7 in attendance. We are finishing up the book of Genesis and are getting ready to start on Exodus.

Sunday morning we started out with prayer requests. We dismissed to our Sunday school classes. The children learned about the fruits of the spirit and the adults studied John 4. 22 people attended our morning worship. We sang songs, heard testimonies and the children had their penny march. We also had two wedding anniversaries. Pastor Scott and wife, Shanna, had their fifth wedding annivesary on th 11th and Bro. Lyndon and Sis. DiAnne had their first wedding anniversay on the 13th. May God bless both couples with many more years together.

Pastor Scott had a wonderful holy spirit inspired message from the book of Mark 11:21-29. “Prayer, Faith and Forgiveness – a recipe for a good church!”

This goes for ourselves as a church, our branches of churches and the body of Christ as a whole. In the word it tells us that without faith it is impossible to please God. What could the unceasing prayer of 10 righteous, 100 righteous, 1,000 righteous do? And forgiveness, forgive one another in love brothers and sisters as our Father has forgiven us.

During our evening service we had 22 people attend. We lifted up our requests of prayer to the Lord and sang praises. Bro. Mike read Psalms 42 for us which is beautiful scripture. Pastor Scott brought forth our message from Psalms 107:1-9 and several other scriptures. What will satisfy us? I can tell you from personal experience that before I knew God, and I’m talking had an ongoing relationship with Him, an everyday walk not just an emergency God, one I prayed to when I was in a sticky situation, I was void, unfulfilled, unsatisfied. Nothing I had, or did filled that, unjtil I became personal with the Lord and longed for God to be in my life. It takes Him to be truly satisfied. When things get rough, well they are rough, but I’m satisfied to know He will carry me through. I am satisfied beyond measured to know that God sent His Son Jesus to suffer and die and bleed for my sins so that the gap between God and me could be bridged. Friends there are a lot of people walking around unsatified. And not just everyday Joe’s but family, loved ones, friends, children walking around unconcerned for their souls so we need to be concerned for them. I urge you all to push them in the right direction, witness of what God can do for them, by testifying how He has satisfied you.

Please come and join us for service. Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. Sunday school at 10 a.m. worship at 11 a.m. and evening worship at 7 p.m.

Psalms 107:9 “For he satisfieth the longing soul and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.”
