Gentry Church

Opening prayer was led by Doug Miller to start our morning service.

Our Sunday school lesson was on “Loving As God’s People.” We have to rise higher than our enemies. This comes by doing the impossible by loving them. Jesus wants us to truly be His children

Happy Birthday wishes went out to little Rebecca Young. She was a big three years old and Happy Anniversary wishes went out to Jim and Sharon Ginder for 11 years of marriage.

November 18 is our third Friday night singing at Gentry at 7 p.m. with snacks afterwards.

November 20 in our Sunday service will be election of officers, teachers, ect.

Our deepest sympathy goes out to Marty and Marla Solomon in the death of their 13 year old son, Dane, and our prayers for Marty’s father, Billy, who is in serious condition after a car accident.

Pastor Hall’s morning message was from I Corinthians 3:1-9. We who have believed in the truth of Jesus Christ and see Him with all our heart, He will send the power of the Holy Spirit to help us strive against our carnal nature and helps us not to stay as babes in Christ. We are all labourers together with God.

In our evening service, our special song was by Rod and Joanne Welker.

The little children now have their bells and are trying to learn a song for Christmas. We are looking forward to hearing them and we appreciate Sharon Ginder and her helpers, Sheila Miller, Stacey Welker and Janice Young for teaching them.

Bro. Hall’s evening message was from Isaiah 40:28-31. We have to wait upon the Lord. He shall renew our strength. We shall run and not be weary, walk and not faint. We have to be patient and wait to be endowed with power from upon high.
