Church of the Living God

Opening Sunday morning services were started by Norma read John 14:1-6. In the troubling times we are living in, this scripture can soothe us, “let not your heart be troubled.”

There were many requests for prayer, Marty and  Marla Solomon, Larry Chance, Lorene M., Lena Hutchison, Larry Hampton and family, Joan’s son, Meagan’s mother.

Michael Marah was our Sunday school teacher for this Sunday. He is one of our Wednesday night young people.

The morning message was from Genesis13:1-13. Abram and Lot had decisions to make about what direction they would choose to go to. The easy way , or the land that looked the most promising. Lot pitched his tent toward Sodum. Bad decisions that had severe consequences. Decisions, we have the right to make, consequences are out of our hands. There is a scripture saying, whatsoever a man soweth that shall he reap.

The decisions I have made down through my life have not always been the right ones, but Jesus’s decision to go to the cross for all of us, saved our lives, if we will accept Him as our Savior.

What direction are you choosing to go in?

Evening services was a very spiritual service. The testimony service was wonderful, I know God loves when we speak and tell what He has done for us.

The sermon was from I Corinthians 13:13 and how to abideth in faith, hope, charity. These three, but the greatest of these is charity.

You can have all the money, land, cars, whatever your heart desires, but if you don’t have charity (love) for your fellow man, all is lost.
