Rainbow Ridge News

Carl and Joan Fletcher of Bois D’arc visited with Billy Fletcher this week.

Tom and Jewell Johnson are getting along quite well for a couple in their nineties. They have a lot of help from their sons, Lowell and Larry. Lowell stays with them and Larry goes in and out all the time. Shirley faithfully sends food that is already prepared. Tom and Jewell say that they have been blessed with a good family. That family has been blessed with good parents. Gary Emrick was working in their yard this week, running the mower over leaves and breaking them up.

Norma Stillings helped judge the Patriot Pen contest at the VFW last Friday morning. We have some well informed and patriotic young people in our schools. Writing an essay is not a favorite task for many if not most students. It was nice to know that a few would sit down and write one.

Norma made her regular visits at the Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare Center and Rocky Ridge. When the residents are so grateful for the visits and the piano music, it makes you wish that more people would take time out of their busy days and visit friends at the nursing homes.
