Orie Leroy Bowcott, 60 years, passed away on Nov. 1, 2011 at his home in Ava.
Orie was born June 22, 1951 in the state of Illinois to William and Virginia (Phillips) Bowcott.
Orie lived most of his life in the Ava and Squires area. He served in United States Navy. He enjoyed collecting many things.
Orie was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Floyd.
Orie is survived by two biological daughters, Virginia “Ginny” Dorey and Florence Huffaker; three biological grandchildren, Benjamin, Savannah and Abigail Dorey; a sister, Teresa Bowcott Smith; several cousins; a special buddy, Johnathon Snelson; and other relatives and friends.
Cremation services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, Mo. No services are planned at this time.
