Wednesday Bible study and the young people meeting were enjoyed by all. Bible study teacher is Steve Wilkerson and Chad and Chantelle Emerson are the young people’s teacher.
Sunday morning service was simply great. Connie and Leah Lee were in the morning service. They have been having health problems and now reside at Heart of the Ozarks. We so enjoy seeing them at their place at the front of the church.
There were so many prayer requests. They were for Lorene Maloney, Larry Chance, Marvin and Zelda G., Tommy Gunter, Linda P. and we should always be lifting up our Christian brothers and sisters.
Special music by Bobbie Sue and Elizabeth. These two young girls gave their hearts to God last Sunday and this Sunday were singing to God’s glory. Missy also blessed us with a song. Bevy sang a solo.
The morning message was John 15:12. This is my commandment, “that you love one another, as I have loved you.” That is sometimes hard to do. If they are dressed to the hilt, smell good, look good, but love the drug addict, the drunk, the beggar and the unlovable? The word love is mentioned 61 times in my concordance. Jesus loved us so much He died for us, love us, one another.
The evening message was given by one of our young people, Michael Marah. His message was being ready when Jesus comes.
He had several scriptures he talked on, a couple really stood out – Romans 3:23, for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and the very well known John 3:16. He also used Romans 6:23 – the wages of sin is death.
Jesus died to give us the chance of being with Him forever, but it is our decision, every soul is going one of two places, it’s your choice.
Prayer requests were asked for Leon and Alice Hopper, Donna’s family, Richard and our church family.
Have a wonderful up and coming week. Come see and worship with us if you do not have a home church.
We are at the corner of N.W. 6th Ave. and N.W. 7th St.
The pastor is Gary Moore and his phone number is 683-6547 and 683-8106.
Satan may win some battle, but he has already lost the war.
