Last Weeks News – Sunday morning was opened with the Praise Group doing an awesome job of leading the congregation in singing praise songs.
Shelden Walker did a very fine job of playing a special on his guitar.
Brother Roberts brought the message from Psalms 90:1-2 and Deuteronomy 4:35, “ What God cannot do 1. He cannot die, 2. He cannot Lie, 3. He cannot see our sins through the blood of the Lamb, 4. He cannot force us to repent.”
Sunday evening was our 4th Sunday singing. Those singing specials were Claude Robertson, Joyce Erickson, Venita Brummet, Randy Brummet and Margaret Rosseau.
Visiting in the home of Jerry and Suanne Sutherland Monday through Friday were her sister, Charlene Luallen, Her niece, Pam Pistos both of Tennessee and her sister, LoElla Leverenz of Springfield. Aslo, stopping by to visit with them on Monday were Nora Edwards and Toby and Jacinda Sheppard.
Nora Edwards drove to Mosby, MO. on Wednesday to visit her sisters, Betty Cazzell and Georgia Gillham and other relatives and friends. She returned home on Sunday.
Gathering in the home of Toby and Jacinda Sheppard, Kendra and Shelden Walker on Sunday evening to celebrate Kendra’s 14th birthday were, Dallee Sheppard, Miranda Milligan, Alexis Swearengin and Bob and Nora Edwards. Kendra also had friends spend the night with her after going to a corn maze.
Those visiting in the home of Delmar and Margaret Rosseau during the week were, Becky Carter, Donna Bannister, Gary and Bevy Moore, Nora Hunsaker, Lee Williams, Vern and Kathleen Deatherage, Pauline Okhuysen, Judy Cunio and her sister Shirley and Sandra Cleghorn.
On Friday, I went to Springfield with Stacie and Lucas Hamby. Lucas had a doctor’s appointment which checked out really good, he is gaining weight and doing good. Stacie later took me by to see her mom and dad’s new house which is very beautiful. We went for lunch with her parents and had a very nice visit while having lunch.
On Saturday morning I visited with Harold Davis. Then on Saturday evening I visited with Karan Farris and Kay Carmickle.
On Saturday evening I went to Jack and Barb Breshears for supper and get-to-gether with family. Delmar didn’t feel good so he didn’t go. On Sunday I went to our Miller-Hall Reunion and we had a nice day of visiting and singing and of course food.
We are saddened at the death of our good friend, Harlan Davis.

This Weeks News – Sunday morning began with prayer requests and prayer, then praise songs and welcoming everyone.
Sister Nannette Bryan gave a little talk then Brother Roberts brought the message from Acts 4: 31-34, “A Call To Prayer.”
Sunday evening we sang several hymns then Brother Randy Brummet read some scriptures that spoke of prayer. We then had group prayer before closing.
We were sorry to hear that Sonny Huff was injured last week and was in the hospital for a few days before coming home to recouperate. We pray for her a speedy recovery.
My mom, Nora Hunsaker, fell one day last week and got several bruises and a goose egg lump on each leg. We are thankful she had no broken bones. Just sore and black and blue for awhile.
Alexis Swearengin spent the day on Monday with Memaw and Papa Edwards. Her mother, Miranda, visited a while when she came to pick her up.
On Tuesday, having lunch with Bob and Nora Edwards were his sister, Margie Briscoe of Independence, MO. and his nephew, Larry Mullikin and wife, Gail of Ozark.
Nora Edwards enjoyed having lunch with Kenneth and Candy Lane, in their home, on Thursday, also, enjoyed getting to visit with Jim Lane and children while there.
Bob and Nora Edwards visited on Friday in Ava, with Miranda Milligan, Alexis and Braxton Swearengin. Nora also, visited with Doyne Huffman.
Visiting Bob and Nora Edwards on Saturday evening were Toby and Jacinda Sheppard, Shawn, Alexis and Braxton Swearengin and Miranda Milligan. Alexis and Braxton were doing some early Trick or Treating as a Dinosaur and Lady Bug. They also stopped by Jerry and Suanne Sutherland’s for a treat.
Shelden Walker and Ryan Breshears visited a while on Sunday with Bob and Nora Edwards.
On Monday, Delmar and I took supper up to my mom and ate with them. We then stopped by and visited Keith and Donna Bannister and took them some scraps for their pig, Wilbur. Pauline Okhuysen stopped by on Tuesday and helped me put up some garland on the fence. On Wednesday, I made yeast bread and a big pot of beef stew and took rolls and stew to church for the hayride, We met Jack and Barb Breshears at McDonald’s.
