Ceremony held in historic Stone Chapel
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Nathan Watson, of Ava, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in English and Secondary Education.
Watson earned a degree from Drury University during its summer diploma presentation. Eighty undergraduates joined 94 graduate students at the ceremony held in historic Stone Chapel on Aug. 21. Drury had not held a graduation in Stone Chapel for more than four decades, but, in 2008, Stone Chapel was renovated with geothermal heating and cooling, making the building one of the most comfortable on campus.
Master of Education recipient Gwen Marshall shared poetry and the story of her long road to a graduate degree with the graduates and their friends and family members.
