Gentry

Opening prayer to start our Sunday service was by Doug Miller.

In our Sunday school we studied about “Living As God’s People.” We cannot live the Christian life without the wisdom of God.

Happy Birthday wishes went out to little Blaze Marin.

It was so good to see Joie Welker back in church. He was handling those crutches very well.

A nice crowd was at our church’s fall picnic and hayride. They had two full loads for the hayride. There was lots of food and good music and singing. The musicians were Wayne Anderson, Lyle Ray, Larry Joe Miller, Harley Allen, Matt Welker and Rod Humbyrd. Much appreciation to Bob Leonard and others who helped with the preparations and hard work, to make it a fun night.

Our sympathy and prayers goes out to the Max and Linda Roberts family in the sudden death of Max.

Pastor Hall’s morning message was from Isaiah 55:6-11. The Lord wants us to be in earnest when we are seeking Him and praying for others. Seek Him while He may be found and call ye upon Him while He is near.

In our evening service our special song was by Wanda Casady and Rod Welker with Joanne at the piano.

Bro. Hall’s message was from Luke 11:5-10, Lord teach us to pray and let us rush boldly to the throne of grace when we pray. Live in holiness and be joyful in Him.

Our invitation to come and join us at Genry is always open and everyone is welcome. Our little children are getting ready to start a bell ringing and song ministry. Sharon Ginder is in the process of getting it organized. We are all looking forward to helping in the Lord’s work.
