Wow! November has arrived and although we may have some more nice days, there are times when there is a definite chill in the air! Many stores already have Christmas displays, so the holidays will be here before we know it.
Several members had other things going last week and attendance at our noon meeting on Oct. 27 was low. This week, however, we have program scheduled, so we hope it will be higher. Brenda Hambelton is scheduled to do a blood pressure program for us. The public is invited to attend, Thursday Nov. 3 at noon at Highway House Cafe.
Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, our schedule has had to be adjusted accordingly. Our evening meeting this month will be held next week on Nov. 10 at 6 p.m. November Citizens of the Month will join us for a noon meeting on Nov. 17, because the 4th Thursday is Thanksgiving Day. Our meeting will be canceled that day to let our members spend time with their families.
We have a Terrific Kids presentation scheduled for Monday, Nov. 7 at Ava Elementary at 2:30. Unfortunately, supplies for that program are on back order, so it’s possible that will need rescheduled.
