On Oct. 26, 2011, Ava FFA hosted a Community Blood Center of the Ozarks Blood Drive in the Performing Arts Center. All the blood collected by the CBCO stays locals and supports 38 hospitals in southern Missouri, northwest Arkansas and southeast Kansas. All blood and blood products transfused to patients in these hospitals come from donors like you.
Out of the 108 donors, 88 good units were collected. The next blood drive will be Dec. 21, from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Ava High School Performing Arts Center.
