Eight members of the Ava Lady Bears softball team received all-district recognition at the close of the 2011 season. Receiving first team honors were from left, back row: pitcher Ashlyn Mitchell, outfielder Abbie Lansdown, and infielders Payton Lakey and Kelsey Regennitter. Making all-district second team were, from left in front: catcher Kayla Dougherty outfielder Hannah Johnson, and infielders Morgan Emerich and Melissa Coonts. Regennitter and Lansdown were also named to the all-region team, involving four districts in southwest Missouri.
Ava High School senior Jorie Garrett was named to the all-district tournament second team following district volleyball play at Marshfield last week.
