Sunday morning was opened with the Praise Group doing an awesome job of leading the congregation in singing praise songs.
Shelden Walker did a very fine job of playing a special on his guitar.
Brother Roberts brought the message from Psalms 90:1-2 and Deuteronomy 4:35, “ What God cannot do 1. He cannot die, 2. He cannot Lie, 3. He cannot see our sins through the blood of the Lamb, 4. He cannot force us to repent.”
Sunday evening was our 4th Sunday singing. Those singing specials were Claude Robertson, Joyce Erickson, Venita Brummet, Randy Brummet and Margaret Rosseau.
Visiting in the home of Jerry and Suanne Sutherland Monday through Friday were her sister, Charlene Luallen, Her niece, Pam Pistos both of Tennessee and her sister, LoElla Leverenz of Springfield. Aslo, stopping by to visit with them on Monday were Nora Edwards and Toby and Jacinda Sheppard.
Nora Edwards drove to Mosby, MO. on Wednesday to visit her sisters, Betty Cazzell and Georgia Gillham and other relatives and friends. She returned home on Sunday.
Gathering in the home of Toby and Jacinda Sheppard, Kendra and Shelden Walker on Sunday evening to celebrate Kendra’s 14th birthday were, Dallee Sheppard, Miranda Milligan, Alexis Swearengin and Bob and Nora Edwards. Kendra also had friends spend the night with her after going to a corn maze.
Those visiting in the home of Delmar and Margaret Rosseau during the week were, Becky Carter, Donna Bannister, Gary and Bevy Moore, Nora Hunsaker, Lee Williams, Vern and Kathleen Deatherage, Pauline Okhuysen, Judy Cunio and her sister Shirley and Sandra Cleghorn.
On Friday, I went to Springfield with Stacie and Lucas Hamby. Lucas had a doctor’s appointment which checked out really good, he is gaining weight and doing good. Stacie later took me by to see her mom and dad’s new house which is very beautiful. We went for lunch with her parents and had a very nice visit while having lunch.
On Saturday morning I visited with Harold Davis. Then on Saturday evening I visited with Karan Farris and Kay Carmickle.
On Saturday evening I went to Jack and Barb Breshears for supper and get-to-gether with family. Delmar didn’t feel good so he didn’t go. On Sunday I went to our Miller-Hall Reunion and we had a nice day of visiting and singing and of course food.
We are saddened at the death of our good friend, Harlan Davis.
