Don Stillings of Anaheim, California and his great uncle, Don Putnam, of Thousand Oaks, California came to Ava for a three day visit with family members in this area. While here, they visited with Don Stillings’s mother, Norma Stillings, brother, Dan Stillings, nephew, Alan Stillings, his dad, Stanley Stillings, and cousin, Charles Lupton. They visited with Don Putnam’s sister, Leanna Borders, and her family in Rogersville. There was a family gathering Friday evening in Springfield with Pete and Anna Goos of Lee’s Summit, Harlan and Cathy Lupton, of Billings, Tom Stillings and Joyce Greenwood of Ozark, Carla Lupton and Charlie Lupton, Sr, of Ozark, Cliff and Debra Bohnstedt of Springfield, and Corrie Loftis of Springfield.

Norma Stillings and her son, Dan, fixed breakfast each morning and rode with them Thursday for sightseeing on the Glade Top Trail through to Longrun, and ending up for lunch at Gainesville. They also made drives to the Bragg and Burdett Cemeteries.

Norma Stillings attended the Hospice Compassus Volunteer Picnic, Saturday evening, at the Alumni Park in Mountain Grove. There was some good pulled pork and baked beans made by Tony and Linda Stillings. The Heritage Gospel Singers entertained and door prizes were given out.
