Oak Grove Church

We trust you enjoyed the glorious Sunday morning we were blessed with this past Lord’s Day. Most of us would be happy if it  stayed this way year round, interspersed with enough rain to keep everything green and growing.

Miss Branetta McNiece sang and did a special with her Sunday school teacher, Mrs. Lola Mayberry.

The morning message was, “Obey The Voice Of The Lord” from Jeremiah 38:20. We seem to become so used to the wrong things going on around us that we tend to ignore them, which means we are aware of them but choose not to do anything about it. As the judge in our courts will tell you, “Ignorance is no excuse, for breaking the law.” If we break God’s law, ignorance is still no excuse. Especially since most of us have a copy of His law, and are capable of making an informed decision.

The evening message was, “Rightly Dividing The Word,” from the reference in II Timothy 2:15. We are all responsible for, “Studying to show ourselves approved,” whether we actually do or not.

Women’s Prayer Group will meet at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday evening, followed by Bible study at 7:00 p.m. You are invited to attend. We also have an upcoming revival to begin on November the 7th, with Bro. John Williams as our evangelist. We hope everyone will come, bring a friend and receive God’s riches blessing through the preaching of His word.

Just as a note of interest, if you leave information hanging on someone’s door, you should always include your name and address, so they can get in touch with you.

Your seat was still, ready and waiting for you, if pews could talk, it might say, “I’m lonely.”
