Opening prayer was by Doug Miller to start our morning service.

Our Sunday school lesson was on “Tradition and Love.” The Bible explores the meaning of love and it glorifies the God given love of Husband and Wife. It also illustrates Christ’s greater love for His bride, the church.

Our sympathy goes out to the Harlan Davis family.

Happy Birthday wishes goes out to little Jacob Gallion.

Our special song was by Charlotte Reich.

We welcome our visitor, Diane Chaney.

Amber Miller just returned from a three day trip with a group attending the FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Just a reminder of Gentry Church’s Fall Picnic and Hayride, Saturday, the 29th, 5 p.m., at Bob Leonard’s Farm off west Hwy. 14 on K Hwy. approximately two miles. There will be a sign. Everyone is invited to come and fellowship with us with music and singing, meet at 5 p.m., hayride at 6 p.m. and eat at 7 p.m. Bring a covered dish to go with our hot dogs.

Pastor Riley Hall’s morning message was from Eccl. 11:6. Our life should be aboout soul winning. He that sows seed can reap in joy. The soul winning church is a winning church.

In our evening service, our special was a reading by Narvil Tetrick and Bro. Hall’s message was from Exodus 3:7. We need to know the voice of the Lord. All scriptures are given by inspiration of God. The message of God comes to us throughout the Bible.
