4th Sunday Singing was held at Happy Home Church, October 23 from 2-4 p.m. The welcome was given by Emcee, Sybil Gheer; Marshall Yates opened with prayer; song books were distributed/collected by Freeman Porter. There were 27 present and 30 songs were shared. The next 4th Sunday Singing will be at Ava General Baptist Church, 11/27.
Participating instrumentalists include: Piano: Sybil Gheer, Jena Moyer, Patsy Stewart, Carlene Willis; Guitar: Joe Lafferty, Marshall Yates; Harmonica: Sybil Gheer, Marshall Yates; Bass Guitar: Jerry Moyer.
Special music included: Solo’s: Marshall Yates, Eula Farrow, Linda Prest, Sharon Skaggs; Duet’s: Jerry and Jena Moyer, Loretta DeWitt and Jena Moyer; Trio’s: Sybil Gheer, Carlene Willis, and Jena Moyer; Quartet: Joe and Clara Lafferty, and Lee and Wilma Hampton; church groups: Breedon and Faith Rock; the final special was provided by the preachers.
The following churches were recognized: Ava General Baptist, Breedon, Church of the Living God, Faith Rock, Happy Home, Oak Grove.
