Ocotber 12 – Wednesday evening service at Caney began with singing. We had a time of special appreciation for three special prayers that have been answered just the past few days. Bro. Bill was our leaders tonight. We have still lots more prayere we are asking God to answer. Bro. Bill taught from Acts 27 beginning with verse 33. This was a great teaching. Everyone read their scriptures that each felt the Lord had given them. We had a very good spiritual service. Sis. Janice had a large group of young people in her class. We must keep Sis. Janice and all these young ones in our prayers.
We were dismissed in prayer by Sis. Janice.
Sunday school opened with singing. Bro. Jack Essary welcomed everyone. Prayer requests and praise reports were taken. Sis. Doris Lambeth led in prayer.
Psalm 71:1-12 was the scriptures Jack read for our devotion.
After a good Sunday school lesson, praise and worship began with singing. Singing a special was Melissa Harmon. Pastor Bill Austin spoke this morning from Matthew 12:38-42. True wisdom is shown when we believe and confess Christ.
We will have our annual hayride next Sunday with a potluck dinner at the church. Everyone welcome.
Sunday evening service began with singing. Bro. Jeff Shipley welcomed everyone to service. Sis. Lila led in prayer. Testimonies were given by Bill Austin, Jack Essary, Janice Lafferty, Jim Lafferty and Melba Austin. Bro. Jack Essary was our speaker Sunday evening. The Bible is our road map to Heaven. His scripture was John 21:15-17. Are we teaching and witnessing to those around us? Are we giving them spiritual food? Showing them the way to Christ? It was a God sent message. We were blessed.
