October 8th when my granddaughter, Kelsey Blakey, brought me some eggs, she showed me her engagement ring. She is engaged to Dustin Seaborn, but no date has been set for the wedding.
Bonnie Phipps is doing just fine but don’t have any news for me this week.
Tara and Jettt visited me last Monday and that night Carol Moore came by and got me and then we went by Marie Dickey’s and picked her up and headed for our O.E.S. meeting. That day was Marie Dickey and Richard Baker’s birthday.
Tara and Jett visited me on Wednesday and Thursday and then Hellen Nettleton came by Thursday and said she had been down to the Denlow Cemetery to put flowers on Bill’s grave before she stopped by here.
Hellen was going to stop by Ava Drug to see David Norman if he was there before she went on home.
Carolyn Hutchison and grandson came by and brought me some green tomatoes for Ronnie and Mary Lour Garfit.
Friday morning I went to town and dropped the green tomatoes off at Mona’s CafĂ© for Mona and Ronnie so Mona could take them to Ronnie and see that he got them and no one else got them.
I paid my house insurance while I was in town. I don’t know how people like me who haven’t got a raise in three years can pay all their bills when every one keeps raising our bills on us.
Saturday I had a garage sale but I didn’t put it in the paper but I announced it over the radio and I just had three people to stop by and one of them I had called to let her know and she stopped by before she went to her granddaughter’s soccer game. Jo Stephens stopped by that evening.
Mt Tabor Church went to the nursing home Sunday afternoon and sung some songs with the people that live there and then Bro. Dennis Shumate gave a devotion. We then left, but I had gone early and visited with Norman Duckworth and sung him two songs then I visited with Roxie Heimeyer, Pauline Schauffler, Melba Wilson and John Goss before we sang then I spoke with Irene Richards and Peggy Jenkins.
Keep praying for all our sick folks.
My prayers and sympathy go out to the Harlan David family and all the others who have lost a loved one.
Keep your prayers going for our leaders and the men and women in the service and their families and the ones in training.
