Prayer requests were given for Don, Tammy, Terri Warren, our nation, leaders and others. Peggy Miller prayed this prayer.
Our devotional reading was from Psalms 71.
Happy birthday was sung to Elijah Dalton and Aaron Humbyrd, who share the same day but a few years apart.
Brad Siler prayed as he and Aaron Humbyrd received our Lord’s tithes and offerings.
Pastor Neal read from St. John 7. Jesus stood and cried saying, “If any man thirst, let him come unto me and drink. He that believeth on me as the scriptures hath said out of his belly shall flow rivers of living waters”.
Testimonies were shared. Danny Johnson, Martin Hodges, LeaAnn and Erin Crum sang. They did a tribute to Billy Hodges for his birthday.
Pastor Neal shared about a missionary trip to Africa coming up in January.
At 2 p.m. some attended an ordination service for David Welch at the Goodhope church. Pastor Neal was to give the charge, but he had to leave to go to the emergency room with Erin. After church, he called to say she was released to come home for which we are so thankful.
At 6 p.m., Rhonda Dobbs prayed and singing followed. In the absence of Pastor Neal, Stan Humbyrd filled in with a time of sharing about Jesus and what a difference He makes in our lives, in our families and in our homes.
Every Tuesday at 7 p.m. is special prayer. Every Wednesday at 7 p.m. is Bible Study with Pastor Neal from Exodus.
Saturday, October 22nd at 8 a.m. will be a workday at our church.
Sunday, October 23rd at 4 p.m. is our annual hay ride across the hills for a meal and service there.
October 26-30 we will host the Fifth Sunday Meeting at our church at 7 p.. each evening with the former pastors preaching. They are John Comer, Freeda Holt, Bob Comer and Frances Humbyrd.
