We had a glorious Sunday morning and after Sunday school enjoyed choir and congregational singing followed by special songs from Lola Mayberry, Ella Faye Mitchell and Gary Martin.
Our morning message then was entitled, “What Shall I Do?” from the gospel of Luke. We found that the question is asked at least seven different times and addresses a variety of circumstances. In several instances the question was asked, to ascertain what the requirements of salvation were, in a specific instance. The answers were as varied as the circumstances.
After morning worship service we all gathered in the fellowship hall for a birthday dinner for Carl Sievert, along with several family and guests from the community. Not only did we have a great time of fellowship, there was plenty of food. We cancelled evening services, because we spent most of the afternoon visiting and eating.
Not only am I still holding a seat for you, since you weren’t there, I had to eat your dessert. Please come and take your seat, since my waistline doesn’t need more to eat. (Yes, I know, that is grammatically incorrect.)
