Greetings from two tired walnut pickers. Like James says, you can’t pick the work out of a job. Sure would like to. We have two weeks of news.
A large crowd attended the benefit for Cammie and David Guerin Saturday night.
Sunday and Sunday night had good services at Garrison Baptist Church on October 9.
October 23 at 3 p.m. will be their trash pick-up day and having a fish fry and hay ride. We welcome everyone to church and we sure could use some help in the music department.
Bro. Jeremy Gilbert is holding a revival at the First Baptist Church in Sparta.
Tammi Payne had a safe trip to Tennessee to visit her daughter, Abbie, and family. They are expecting a new baby daughter.
Get well wishes to Betty Halcomb’s sister, Nita Lambert of Springfield. Gary Mitchell had surgery but seems to be doing fairly well. His sister, Doris Braden, fell and broke her leg. Kit Grimes was in a bad wreck. We visited him at St. Johns Hospital in the emergency room. Kit and Julie attended a benefit at Sparta for his cousin, Dave Weter. He needs a kidney transplant. He needs your prayers.
Louise Hampton has a very nice large pumpkin in her yard. Shellie Marler has some nice decoration in hers.
David Halcomb gave us some good green beans. They taste great during the fall of the year. Most gardens have just about done their thing. Thank God for what you got , it will taste good this winter.
David and Junior gave me tomatoes, I got six quarts canned.
Brandon and Jessica Morrison have a baby girl named Hadley Irene. Congratulations on her arrival.
Janie Morrison and Phyllis Bloomer visited Saturday with Florence Morrison of Ozark. Janie attended the benefit for the Guerins at Chadwick High School.
October 16 at Garrison the spirit was good from start to finish. Always glad for the visitors and always blessed by our faithful ones. Attendance was 62. The crowd was down some Sunday night. God blessed us with another good service.
I hope next Sudnay , October 23 will be nice for our church activities and Saturday, October 22 at Garden of Dreams, Honey Branch Cave as Miss Misty Bettis and Chris Wilkerson will exchange wedding vows. Their pastor, Rev. James Orick will read the vows. We wish them a long happy life together.
We appreciate Kerry and Dana Lafferty for the pastor card. It was very thoughtful with the nice things you wrote. Miss you all and we send our love.
Sunday I visited Sybil Harvill and grandson, Keith Williams.
Betty Halcomb’s sister, Nita, has not been doing very good health wise. Betty hasn’t been feeling too good either. Get well wishes to both.
Ervin Maggard has been coming down from Ozark visiting his Mom, Iona Maggard. We visited her last week.
Visitors of George and Janie Morrison were Bo, Jayme and Calab Morrison, Brandon, Jessica and Hadley Morrison, Gary and Chris Morrison, Kent and Austin Daughtery, Phyllis Bloomer and granddaughter.
Iona Maggard called Monday morning. Her sister-in-law, Edith Maggard fell and broke her hip. Get well wishes to her.
Jerry Nelson enjoyed Doug Nelson, Jim Anderson and his children and grandchildren during the week and weekend.
