Gentry Church

Opening our morning service with prayer was Doug Miller.

Our Sunday school lesson was on wisdom for aging. Periods of life are quickly passing. God is the source of life. Learning this in our youth will sustain us in old age.

There will be no third Friday night singing October 21st at Gentry.

There will be a wedding at Gentry Church at 5 p.m. October 22nd for Brittany Willhoyt and David Young. Everyone is invited.

Gentry Church is having a fall picnic and hayride Saturday the 29th at 5 p.m. at Bob Leonard’s farm. Invite friends, family and come and fellowship with us.

Our sympathy goes out to the Sherman Denney family, the church served lunch for them after the services Monday morning.

Our special song was by Rod and Joanne Welker.

We want to welcome our visitors Denise and Steve Maggard in our morning services.

Pastor Hall’s morning message was from John 20:21. God sent his son not to condemn the world, but to save it. Every believers responsibility is to win the lost. Nothing makes Heaven rejoice as a soul being saved.

In our Sunday evening services our special was by Brenda Hampel, Narvil Tetrick and Faye Allen.

Bro. Hall’s message was from Matthew 13:44-46. He knows our hearts. Be obedient and follow Him daily. The kingdom of Heaven is worth it all. Consideration of salvation is our treasure because of the blood of Jesus.

God Bless.
