Project Part of Safe & Sound Program
SIKESTON-Work to replace the Route OO bridge over Lick Creek in Ozark County is expected to begin Monday, Oct. 31, weather permitting. As construction is underway, a temporary bypass will be in use. Completion is anticipated in late December.
Improvements to the bridge will be completed as part of the Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program. The program will repair or replace over 800 of the state’s lowest-rated bridges by winter 2013.
Signs and warning devices will be in place. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
