Quinton Herd, 86, of Pendleton, Ore., died Sept. 29, 2011, at St. Anthony Hospital in Pendleton. A private family service was scheduled.
Mr. Herd was born Sept. 3, 1925, at Pontiac, Mo., the son of Lonnie and Virginia (Honeycutt) Herd. He graduated from Ava High School in 1942.
Survivors include his wife, Bea (Peterson) Herd, of Pendleton; a son, Terry Herd, of Brentwood, Tenn.; daughters, Karma Kilday, of Seaside, Ore., and Trina Merriman, of Pendleton; and five grandchildren.
