A two-vehicle crash west of Ava last Friday afternoon sent an Oldfield man to the hospital with moderate injuries.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the wreck occurred at 4:45 p.m., 10 miles west of Ava on Highway 76. The Patrol said a 1995 Chevrolet driven by Peggy M. Newman, 20, of Ava, failed to stop at a stop sign and struck a 2010 Chevrolet driven by Kit D. Grimes, 40, of Oldfield.
Grimes was transported by ambulance to Cox South Hospital in Springfield.
