Last Weeks News – Pastor Neal began the morning and evening services by blowing the shofar to welcome all in the Lord’s house.
October is planned to be a very busy month. We pray and ask God’s anointing on all we do. For without Him, we can do nothing.
October 2nd was the food harvest collection for the Heart of the Hills Food Harvest. October 8th is the fundraiser for St. James Church. October 9th is our monthly fellowship dinner and collection for the back pack program at Plainview School. October 15th is the work day at the White River Campgrounds. October 22nd is the workday at our church. October 23rd is our annual hay ride. October 26-30 is the Fifth Sunday Meeting which we will be hosting.
We came together on our Lord’s Day and began by standing to read our devotional from Deuteronomy 1. Prayer requests were for Don Smith, Gail Adams, Marty Bilyeu and others whose names were not given. We always pray for our service, our nation, leaders, troops and Israel. Danny Johnson prayed this prayer followed by Sunday school.
We came back together, testimonies were given and Danny Johnson and Stan Humbyrd led us in “I Wouldn’t Take Nothing for My Journey Now”.
Pastor Neal read from Romans 8 and encouraged us with the wonderful love of God.
Happy birthday was sung to Dane Humbyrd, Amy Hodges and Cody Menzies.
At 6 pm Pastor Neal began with prayer followed by singing. Praises and testimonies were shared about our Good Lord and his blessings. It was good to have Christi Adams and boys with us. She gave God praise for Gail Adams’ good report.
Our kids sang with the help of Stan and Kim Humbyrd. Erin and LeaAnn Crum sang, “Stand Still and Let God Move”.
Pastor Neal shared about the Day of Atonement which will be this Saturday, October 8th from Leviticus 16. The High Priest would stay in the temple and fast for 25 hours, first for himself and then for the people. Oh, how we need a fresh burden and fire from the Lord for our loved ones today.
Every Tuesday at 7 pm is special prayer. Every Wednesday at 7 pm is Bible Study with Pastor Neal from Exodus. He also shares the current events of our times and how they are related to the Bible.

This Weeks News – We began by standing to read our devotional in Psalms 33 then prayer requests were given for Marsha Blakey, today’s service, our nation, leaders, military and Israel. Frances Humbyrd prayed this prayer.
Happy birthday was sung to Billy Hodges. After Sunday school classes, Danny Johnson led us in two songs. Testimonies were shared about our Good Lord.
Erin and Melissa sang their theme song from Camp. We were glad to have Brother Keith and Charlotte Moore with us to share about the Gideon ministry. Every month, the Gideon’s receive testimonies of lives the word of God has changed. The average Bible will be placed in a motel room for six years and will reach 2300 lives. He thanked Pastor Neal and LeaAnn for letting him be with us and praised them for their ministry.
Van Menzies dismissed in prayer and asked the blessing on the fellowship dinner, which we enjoyed.
At 6 pm, Brother Stan Humbyrd prayed the beginning prayer followed by singing. Testimonies were given and Erin and Melissa sang, “Because”.
Pastor Neal prayed and said we just finished a day of atonement on Saturday, October 8th. It is time to remember and give God praise. This Wednesday, October 12, will be the feast of tabernacles which is the thanksgiving of the harvest. Let it be a time of thanks for us also. He then read from Luke, the story of the certain lawyer who asks, “What shall I do to inherit eternal life”? Jesus answered, “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, soul, strength and mind and thy neighbor as thyself”. Jesus then told the story of the Good Samaritan and said, “Go and do thou likewise”.
Some attended the fundraiser event on Saturday for the St. James Church building fund.
October 15th is the work day at the White River Campgrounds at 9 am.
October 16th will be the ordination service at 2 pm at Goodhope Church for Brother David Welch.
October 22nd will be a workday at our church.
October 23rd is our annual hay ride. We will be leaving the Church at 4 pm for a meal and service on Glade Top Trail.
October 26-30 we will host the Fifth Sunday Meeting of the White River Association.
