Brother Roy Frye opened Sunday school after congregational singing. Pastor David prayed for the prayer request. Brother Roy then read Psalm 33:13-22 for the devotion and dismissed us to our classes.
The children studied about Jesus in Sunday school and children’s church.
Brother John Little took up the tithes and offerings. Wyatt Wharton, Preston Adams, Dailyn Stanifer and Reece Adams all did the penny march for Camp Piland.
We sang Happy Birthday to Lidia Stanifer who turned 1 and Megan Goforth who is 11. We wish them many more.
We were glad to have some back who had been busy and missed Louise, Brad, Becky and children, Brian, Drew, Austin and Sara and others.
Congratulations to Mt. Tabor Church on their anniversary.
We had a wonderful time of fellowship Saturday evening as we gathered together for a hayride and hot dog roast. We had a trailer full and some stayed to prepare the meal. The kids did a scavenger hunt and roasted marshmallows and made smores. Everyone had a great time. Thank you so much to all our helpers.
Sister Betty had a praise for the several medical tests she had been taking were all good. We are so thankful for her and God’s healing. Our prayer list was long and God knows each one. Please pray for our list when you pray.
Pastor David sang then preached from Luke 8:22-25. We each face storms in life. It is going to happen to everyone sometime. Where is our faith during these times? It must be in the Lord.
Sunday evening we had good singing and testimonies. Pastor David sang then preached from Matthew 5:14-16. Christians are the light of the world. People should be able to tell that we are a Christian by our actions. Our actions should always glorify God. We could be a better light if we know His word.
We had a wonderful day in the Lord and we thank Him for it.
We will honor our Pastor with a dinner and fellowship Sunday October 23rd after the morning service as October is Pastor Appreciation month.
