Two Get Prison Sentences Tuesday

On Tuesday, Oct. 4, during the October Law Day, Judge John Moody sentenced individuals to the Department of Corrections.

Daniel N. Isaac, 24, of Ava, was sentenced to two years in prison for 2nd degree domestic assault for offenses that occurred July 4, 2011.

Doyle W. Shelton Jr., 37, of Ava, was sentenced to five years in prison for 2nd degree burglary, for offenses occurring Oct. 10, 2010. This sentence will run concurrently with a Taney County sentence which Shelton is already serving in the Department of Corrections
