Ruth Ellen McCleary, 83 years, of Rock Springs, Wyo., passed to heaven on Sept. 30, 2011 in Wyoming.
Ruth was born Aug. 7, 1928 in Taft, Calif., to George and Martha (Pearson) Gross.
On May 18, 1946 Ruth and Claude McCleary were united in marriage in Ava, Mo., and to this union six children were born.
Ruth was retired and had worked in Excelsior Springs, Mo., a grocery store in Lawson, Mo., and also worked in Kansas City, Mo.
She was a Christian. She enjoyed long drives in the country, gardening, working puzzles and nature.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Claude in 1999, a son, David and a sister, May Pasley.
Ruth is survived by five children, Darrell and Dale McCleary both of Winston, Mo., Connie McCleary, Rock Springs, Wyo., Vickie McCleary, Lawson, Mo., and Rebecca McCleary, Gladstone, Mo.; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be today (Thursday, Oct. 6), at 10 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with burial in the Blanche Cemetery, east of Ava. Visitation was Wednesday from 6 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Officiating is the Rev. Butch McCleary.
