Route AC in Douglas and Ozark counties will be reduced to one lane as Missouri Department of Transportation crews partially overlay the roadway.
The section of roadway is located from Route 14 in Douglas County to end of state maintenance in Ozark County.
Work was to have begun Wednesday, Oct. 5 and continue through Thursday, Oct. 6 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., weather permitting.
The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.

The MoDOT district office in Sikeston also announced this week that work to replace the Route OO bridge over Lick Creek in Ozark County is expected to begin Tuesday, Oct. 11, weather permitting. As construction is under way, a temporary bypass will be in use. Completion is anticipated in mid-December.
Improvements to the bridge will be completed as part of the Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program.
