September 25 – The autumn air has put a spring in everyone’s step
Oct. 2 – Sunday, Melany Stevens blessed us with a song. We are thankful for everyone. God blessed us with 62 in attendance. James brought a good message. Bro. Donnie Cummings brought the Sunday evening message. He had a good message.
Janie Morrison visited Florence Morrsion. We hope she is feeling better, Janie and Jean Loomis spent Monday in Springfield. Visiting Janie and George were Brandon; Jessica and Chris Morrsion; Phyllis Bloomer and grandchildren, Loretta and Kristen Nelson and Wyatt and Connor Applegate.
James and me visited Junior and Betty Halcomb. They gave us some nice tomatoes. I hope to can some.
Joe and Sue Rozell have a new granddaughter, Emerson Grace. Her parents are Tyler and Terri Rozell. She has a sister, London.
Several have fall gardens planted. David and Glenda Halcomb had some late tomatoes to can. He sure had a good garden. His grandparents on the Halcomb and Casey side were good gardeners and his parents, are always busy gardening and have good luck, so he is a natural at having a green thumb.
Thursday night two weeks ago while I was at the ladies Bible study, Gordon Jones took James on a tour of part of his place. He really enjoyed it. We do live in God’s country in these Ozark hills.
A couple of weeks ago on a Sunday Junior and Betty Halcomb visited their daughter and her husband, Connie and John Siler, to see Brad, Patty and Adalynn Siler.
October 2 was a beautiful Lord’s day. The Elmore’s came and sang Sunday at Garrison Baptist Church. A bountiful dinner was served. Church decided to have Sunday night services and it was sure good to see and show if you obey God and let Him lead, you can get results. Everyone was around the altar praying. Attendance was down to 45 Sunday. Pretty good attendance Sunday night. Information was given that Sunday night services would be dismissed and several made other arrangements to do things instead of attending service, but we had a good weekend.
Thursday James visited Gordon Jones while I was at ladies Bible study.
Remember Gail Adams in your prayers. She is still in the hospital. A man by the name of Braden fell from a deer stand and is in the hospital and not doing very well. Gary Mitchell will have surgery Wednesday.
Cammie Guerin had a bad stroke. A benefit auction is being held on her behalf. Her medicine is very expensive. Help if you can, but most of all, pray for her recovery.
Happy Birthday to our niece, Connie Siler. Her parents, Junior and Betty Halcomb; her brother, David Halcomb; her children, Brad, Patty and Adalynn Siler, Amanda, Brad, Hope, Arainna, Kaylee and Kegan Evans helped her celebrate her special day.
Happy Birthday to James’ sister, Christy Lakey. She had to work, but they had her a little party at work. Her birthday was Sunday and she hit the big 50.
As we came down the road Loretta Nelson was coming out the door at her Dad’s, Jerry Nelson’s. We rolled the window down and wished her a Happy Birthday. Her’s was Sunday too.
Have a safe weekend and pick up that black gold (walnuts). It is good weather for it.
