Opening the morning service with prayer was Doug Miller. Our Sunday school lesson was on Keeping An Ordered Life and The Key Ingrediet Is In Always Trusting God, Provervs chapter 29 is a good chapter to teach us.
Special song was by Pauline, Rod and Wanda Welker and Bobbie Miller.
Remember Joie Welker in your prayers. He has been very sick with swelling and infection in his foot. Also Williard Short as he returns to the doctor this week for more work on his eyes.
We are proud to see George Welker recovered nicely over his gall bladder surgery.
Gentry Church helped serve food to the Ava Football Team before their Friday night game with Salem. Go Bears!!
It was good to have Riley and Judy Hall back from their trip to Minnesota, the Dakotas and all up North. They said they seen a huge bull moose and a lot of corn being harvested.
Pastor Hall’s morning message was from II Corinthians 6 and Deuteronomy 18, “Be Ye Separate.” The devil is alive and well. Always be sober and vigiliant. Walk as children of light and not darkness. God says we are the temple of the living God and He dwells in us and walks with us.
Sunday night service, the special song was by Gentry Singers and Bro. Hall’s message was out of Matthew 23, “Closing The Gates Of Heaven.” Jesus was speaking to the pharisees, they appeared righteous outwardly unto men but their hearts inside were not interested in the heavy burden on the people. We have to open the gates of Heaven and are to care and pray for one another and help them to carry their burden.
