The 4th Sunday Singing was held at Breedon Church, September 25 from 2-4 pm. The welcome was given by Emcee, Sybil Gheer; Bro. Joe Lafferty opened with prayer; song books were distributed/collected by Freeman Porter. There were 35 present and 42 songs were shared. The next 4th Sunday Singing will be at Happy Home Church, October 23.
Participating instrumentalists include: Piano: Sybil Gheer, Susie Sisco, Jena Moyer; Guitar: Joe Lafferty, Bob Huskey, Jeff Biaggi, Marshall Yates; Mandolin: Jeff Biaggi; Harmonica: Sybil Gheer; Violin: Violet Lakey, Diane Peebles; Bass Cello: Michael Peebles.
Instrumentalist played their instruments prior to the congregational singing. Other special music included: Solo’s: Marshall Yates, Lena Hutchison, Linda Prest, Sharon Skaggs, Bob Huskey; Duet’s: Edgar Stewart and Jena Moyer, Bob Huskey and Joe Lafferty; Trio’s: Michael Peebles, Heidi Parker, Susie Sisco; Quartet: Joe and Clara Lafferty, Susie Sisco, Ronnie Thomas; the Peebles family: Michael, Diane, Kayla, and Heidi Parker; an instrumental number lead by Violet Lakey and the musicians; church group: Breedon and the final special was provided by the preachers.
The following churches were recognized: Ava General Baptist, Breedon, Church of the Living God, Dogwood Nazarene, Faith Rock, Happy Home, Life and Oak Grove.
