Douglas County Presiding Commissioner Larry Pueppke confirmed Wednesday that EMA Director Bill Philpott has submitted his resignation.
Philpott was appointed EMA director for Ava and Douglas County at the first of the year when Pueppke assumed the office of presiding commissioner.
Pueppke said Wednesday that Philpott gave his two-weeks notice last week, citing personal reasons for his resignation.
