NOTICE OF ELECTION OF SUPERVISORS FOR THE SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT OF DOUGLAS COUNTY
To all land representatives of any farms lying within Douglas County, Missouri, pursuant to the provisions of the Missouri Soil & Water Conservation Districts Law, Sections 278.060 to 278.155 RSMo 2010, notice is hereby given that on the 14th day of October, 2011, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. an election will be held to elect two supervisors to the Board of Supervisors of the Soil & Water Conservation District of Douglas County, Missouri. Pursuant to the provisions of the Missouri Code of State Regulations, Title 10, Division 70, Chapter 70, Chapter 2 (10 CSR 70-2.10 & 2.020).
All land representatives of any farm lying within Douglas County, Missouri are eligible to vote. A land representative is the owner or representative authorized by power-of-attorney, of any farm lying within any area of the district; provided, however, that any land representative must be a taxpayer of the county which the SWCD is located.
Eligible voters shall cast their votes at the following polling location:
The Douglas County Soil & Water Conservation District Office located at 1401 NW 10th Lane (behind the Century Bank), Ava, MO.
The Nominating Committees for the election have submitted names of the following qualified candidates:
Territory 2 (Findley, Benton, Spring Creek, Miller, Boone and Walls Township) Hollis D. Smith-Findley Township
Territory 4 (Wood, Bryan, Brush Creek, Clinton, McKinley and Richland Townships) C. Eldon Russell-Brush Creek Township
All land representatives so designated by power-of-attorney must present their power-of-attorney form, properly signed, to the polling judges at the time of voting.
