Caney Church

September 28 – Caney Church came together Wednesday evening by singing.

Bro. Hi Lambeth took charge of the service by taking prayer requests. Sis. Doris Lambeth led in prayer. Young lady, Aspen Isaacs sang a special. She does a very good job. It is a joy to see young people work for the Lord. Bro. Hi Lambeth read II Kings 5:1-22. We need to follow God’s word to the letter to be blessed even when it doesn’t make sense. Everyone read wonderful scripture and had a good discussion.

Sunday school began with singing. Bro. Jack Essary welcomed everyone. Prayer requests and praise reports were given. We have lots of concerns – the lost, sick bereaved, military and nation. Bro. Jeff Shipley led in prayer. Jack read Deuteronomy 1:9-17 for our devotion. We had a very good Sunday school lesson.Sis. Melba led our little ones in song. They are so much fun. Testimonies were given by Jeff Shipley, Lorrinda Coulter and Jack Essary.

Praise and Worship began with singing. Those singing specials today were Jim Lafferty and Melissa Harmon. Prayer was led by Bro. Hi Lambeth. Pastor Bill Austin brought the morning message from Matthew 2:1 and 21:8-11. Where Is He? Who is this? He should be in our hearts. He is the Son of God, He is Christ, the morning star, Lily of the Valley, Rose of Sharon, the Light, Bread of Life, The Living Water, the way, the truth and the Life. Where is He, who is He in your life?

After a good service several stayed for potluck lunch and then did some serious cleaning in the church and minor repairs outside. We appreciate everyone who helped in any way. You are appreciated.

Sunday evening service began with singing. Do you know my Jesus? Bro. Jeff Shipley welcomed everyone. Sis. Lorrinda Coulter led in prayer. We were so glad to have her back. Testimonies were given by Lorrinda Coulter, Janice Lafferty and Melba Austin. Pastor Bill brought his message Sunday evening from Acts 2:1-15 and Matthew 20:1-16. It’s not always as we suppose. God will bless us with His mercy and grace as He sees fit. There will be no murmuring or complaining. We will all be glad to get what He gives us. The Lord loves us all the same. Don’t suppose you are right with God, know that you’re right with Him.

We are planning our annual hay ride for October 23, more details later.

Come worship with us.
