This Monday was a very nice day. I am inside resting up from Sunday church and auxiliary. I enjoy both very much. We had a good services in the morning and evening with Pastor Don. We all love him for his worship and fellowship with God being a blessing to all.
I received a phone call Wednesday from Alice in Iowa. She had sad news, her best friend, Donna, was on her mail route when a large tractor pulled across the road and she was killed. Donna is also a dear friend of many years of Gladys Cunningham.
I enjoyed a visit last Thursday with Sister Nadine in the care center. She was to be moved to an assisted living place on Friday and will be there for three months.
Marise is on the move these days feeling fine. Sunday afternoon she went to Lake Springfield alone and went for a kayak thrill. On Tuesday she is taking three lady friends with her. She asked me to go with them. There is is no way I would go on that lake in that thing.
Last week, Dave and Cathy took a weeks vacation to be with Ryan in Arlington, Texas and also with best friends, Glen and Dorothy in New Mexico. They took in Bloomvest in Albuquerque and arriving home Monday.
Louise Wood passed the news to me at church that she had a phone call from Vivian Ridenour in Hartford, Wisconsin. She had enjoyed a good visit with some of her nieces from out of state. Vivian, we enjoy hearing from you often. It is a nice reminder of our phone calls when you lived in Springfield. God’s love is forgiving.
