Our menu for this week will be: Monday, October 10—Cheeseburger, onion, pickles, lettuce, tater tots, cake. Tuesday, October 11—Polish sausage, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, biscuit, pudding. Wednesday, October 12–Ham and beans, corn bread, spinach, potatoes, cobbler. Thursday, October 13—Fish, hush puppies, potato wedges, sherbet. Friday, October 14—Swedish meatballs, rice, veggies, hot apples. Because of donations from various people and organizations, the salad bar is free on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The suggested price is $3.50 for seniors aged 60 and above and $6.00 for younger ones. Come and join us.
The activities include OATS bus to Springfield on first and third Mondays, OATS bus to adjoining county on second and fourth Tuesdays, OATS bus to Ava on every Wednesday and Friday. Need a ride? Call the center. The driver’s exam will be in the basement on Thursday from 9:30 to 3:30. Alternative Opportunities will be here on Wednesday as well as the pinochle tournament. The line dancing class will be on Tuesday beginning at 12:30. There are pitch games going on about every afternoon and a pitch tournament will begin on the fourth Monday of October. If you are interested in playing in the tournament, please call the office (683-5712) for the rules.
