Opening Sunday school Roy Hampton read Leviticus chapter 20, verse 13 and led in prayer.
Bro. Lee Hampton taught the adult class in the first chapter of St. John. A real good chapter. Wilma Hampton prayed the offering prayer. We had questions and answers. Our congregation sang. Hannah Hampton sang as well as, Roy Hampton’s granddaughter, Brandon and Nicole’s daughter and Sue Sisco. Bro. Joe Lafferty preached on the first chapter of St. John, verses 10-12 and the eleventh chapter of Hebrews. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence on things not seen, then led in prayer. Our attendance was down, but we had a good spirit. We sang an invitational song.
We had the Fourth Sunday Singing today. We always enjoy the Fourth Sunday Singing. We had a prayer of healing for one of our singers.
During evening services we sang. Sue Sisco did a special and Sue Thomas played for Ronnie Thomas, Joe Lafferty and Sue Sisco.
Joe Lafferty read the second chapter of St. John for his evening message. We had testimonies and an altar prayer for Sue Thomas. She is taking chemo. We all need to pray for our Christian brothers and sisters. The altar prayer was our dismissal. Everyone testified. Don’t forget Tag That Preacher at Breedon, October 1 at 6:00 and bring finger food.
