This Weeks News – We’re so thankful for all the good rains we’ve been getting. We really have needed the moisture and the pastures are greening up nicely. Beaver Creek had been as low as I remember in recent years but it was up and the water was dingy when I drove the grandkids to school Monday morning. Everything looks better and fresher after it has been washed off by the rain.
My car was looking rather pitiful with a few weeks accumulation of dirt and dust on it. It didn’t help matters when I washed only the windshield and windows and not the rest of the car. Where the soapy water ran down the sides of the car the dirt stuck extra well. The rain washed it off nicely too.
Several from around the area went to the PBR bull rides last weekend. Larry and Donna Blair took their grandsons, Brady and Brock Rogers and had a close call when they were rear-ended while sitting at a stoplight. Thankfully, none of them were hurt.
Several hunters have returned from Colorado where they were elk
hunting. Tony Todd killed a nice 6×6 bull elk. He had the antlers at
church Sunday night before church started so everyone could see them.
