Black Oak Church

Last Weeks News – “Finally, brethren whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there by any praise, think of these things,” Philippians 4:8.

Brother Roy Frye opened Sunday School after we had singing. He read Jeremiah 31:7-11 for the devotion. Pastor David prayed then Brother Roy dismissed us to class.

Hunter Adams, Preston Adams and Macee Breeding did the penny march for Camp Piland. Macee and Hunter sang a special for us. Ella Faye Mitchell also sang for us. We appreciate our visitors so much. We had several gone which we miss so much. Hurry back.

Pastor David sang then preached from Luke 5:1-11. Peter obeyed Jesus, trusted Jesus, asked for forgiveness, then followed Jesus to become a fisher of men. A good example for us to follow.

Sunday evening we had a special blessing as the Mt. Tabor Quartet joined us. It was good to be in church with them. We enjoyed their singing so much. Pastor David sang then preached from Mark 10:17-27. We must not put anything before God especially money as the rich, young rulers did. It is not worth missing a relationship with God. We had good testimonies also.

Please pray for Bailey Strong, Cody Strong,  Betty Satterfield, Katky, Anna, Tom Elliott, Jeannie Miller, Crystal Lee, Lee Aborn, Wyatt and Liviya Wharton unspoken, unsaved, bereaved, country and leaders, military and each other.

We love you and hope you are walking with Jesus. May He bless you always.

This Weeks News – “In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths,” Proverbs 3:6.

Brother Roy Frye opened Sunday school after we sang. Pastor David prayed for our prayer request and we were dismissed to class after Brother Roy read Proverbs 1:1-7 for the devotion.

We had four young men take up the pennies for Camp Piland. There will be a mission group at Camp Piland October 7 and 8 to install air conditioning in the dorms, so thank God for them and their work.

We had several gone, but appreciate our visitors and pray they all come back.

Hunter Adams sang for us and Pastor David sang and preached from Mark 13:32-37 on being committed.

Sunday evening Pastor David sang and preached from Luke 4:14-21 on as the Spirit was with Jesus in the temple, it is with us if we only ask and trust.

Our hayride and weiner roast is planned for October 8.

Join us on Wednesday evenings for Bible study and youth activities.

Remember to keep walking with Jesus and He will bless you always.
