Arno

I talked with Bonnie Sunday evening and she was doing okay.

Carol Moore came and picked me up last Monday and then we got Marie Dickey and we went to our O.E.S. Meeting here in Ava and it was election night and we initiated Daniela Stark into our chapter so it was long. We sure appreciated Jerry Marsh, Elvira Slater, Jo Ann Gray and Charles Murray for helping us out. John Baltz came with Jerry from West Plains.

Tara Coonce and Jett, James Blakey and Lakota all visited me last Tuesday.

Kay Hutchison picked up my news Wednesday morning early and then I went to Pat Miller’s memorial service in the afternoon.

Thursday I received one and one-tenths of an inch of rain by 3 p.m. Sunday morning I had one-tenth of an inch in my rain gage.

George and Violet dropped by and picked up a dozen eggs last Tuesday while they were in town.

Cathy Cornett came over Friday and ate dinner with me and ordered some fruit from the Ava FFA. Lakota Blakey is selling some this year.

Ellis and Marsha Blakey, Anita Smith, Hellen Blakey and Johnathon, Annie and Alexia all went to Ozark Saturday to Chesnea Blakey’s birthday party which was held at the place where she does her gymnastics. She is Chase and Michika Blakey’s daughter.

Sunday afternoon the Mt. Tabor Church went to the nursing home and sung to them and Bro. Dennis Shumate did a devotion and then we were dismissed with prayer.

It sure felt good to be going back up there again and singing to them.

There are lots of sick folks out there so keep them in your prayers.

My prayers and sympathy go out to the Laura Findley family and all the other ones who have lost a loved one.

My prayers go out to my church families who are sick and wish them a quick recovery.

Lets pray for our leaders and the men and women in the service and their families and the ones in training.

Say an extra prayer for the soldiers out there that don’t have a family back here to send them a card this time of year.
