No one was seriously hurt in this wreck Friday afternoon near the Casey's General Store on Hwy 14 east of the Ava Square.
Last Friday afternoon, just before the Homecoming Parade was getting ready to step off at Ava High School, there was a two-vehicle collision on East Washington Ave. (Highway 14) in front of Casey’s General Store, resulting in one truck ending up on its side. Ava Police said a 1990 Ford Ranger driven by David C. Bradley, 61, of Ava, pulled into the path of a 1998 Ford pickup driven by Wendell W. Wilkey, 71, of Ava. The Bradley pickup was hit in the side and overturned on the edge of the roadway. Neither driver was seriously hurt.
