“Ask the Lord for rain. In the season of late rain. It is the Lord who cause storms and He will provide rainstorms for them, grass in the fields for everyone,” Zecheriah 10:4.

Two weekends ago Zoe Shull stayed with Ralph and Dana Brazeal.

Last Monday Gary and I went to Ava to visit his mother, Maxine Turner and David, Gary’s sister, Vicki Goodman, came by while we were there.

The other day we had a flock of turkeys in our yard, thirteen or so.

When you are alone and sad, go to the nursing home and visit. You don’t have to know them. They get lonely too. Be happy for what you got.

People are getting their second hay cutting up.

My sympathy to Ralph Brazeal family. His mother, Pat, passed away last Saturday morning. Sooner or later we all give up our mothers.

Friday afternoon my youngest brother, Orville Clayton, and wife, Sandy, and son, Matthew, and my sister, Christine Clayton, came down from Illinois. Saturday I had a dinner for them. Ernest Strong brought his barbecue grill and cooked the hamburgers outside. Other guests for dinner were Dara and Bailey Strong, Tafi Shannon, John and Zamber Little, Howard and Ella Faye Mitchell, Rose, Lisa, Parker, Trisha and Willow Clayton, Shawna and Cadence Baugher, Ralph and Dana Brazeal, Del and Fanya Scott, Paul and Honie Johnson. It was a good 62nd birthday.

Sunday afternoon Wilford, Rose and Parker Clayton, Howard and Ella Faye Mitchell, Dana Brazeal and Honie Johnson came back to visit Christine Orville, Sandy and Matthew, who were out visiting uncles, aunts and cousins.

Gary’s mother, Maxine Turner, was taken to St. John’s Hospital Saturday.

Happy Birthday to Wyatt Wharton on the 12th. Wyatt will be five years-old. Late birthday wish for Del Scott on the 1st and his granddaughter, Rammi Scott on the 4th.

I am so thankful to God for the cooling down of things. Get the quilts out and close the windows.

My sympathy to the Ron Fleetwood family.
