The 4th Annual Tri-County Youth Horse Show will be held Saturday, Sept. 17, at the versatility arena at MFTHBA show grounds, north of Ava. The show starts at 12 noon, and on-site concessions will be available.
The first Tri-County Youth show was deemed a success in the spring of 2008 with 132 entries and 29 horses. The following year in 2009, show contestants increased to 44 horses and 187 entries; and in 2010, the group welcomed 49 horses and 250 entries. Organizers are hoping for an even bigger turnout this year.
Trophies, ribbons, prizes, and cash are awarded to participants.
The youth show is supported by local businesses and saddle clubs, and it comes together each year by the dedication and hard work of volunteers.
