The 26th Annual Breshears-Hylton Reunion was held on Sunday, September 11 at the Ava City Park. 90 family members and friends enjoyed the day. The adults enjoyed visiting, sharing stories and pictures. The younger ones played on the playground, football, tennis and getting more acquainted.
Joe Allen Breshears was spokesman for the day, Debbie Dalaeli’s asked the blessing before the delicious potluck lunch was served.
We had a short meeting and gifts were presented to Ronnie Breshears, oldest man; oldest lady – Jean Breshears; youngest – Olyvia Barcus; coming farthest – Terry and Carol Brooks; and most grandchildren – Jack and Barbara Breshears.
We had several guessing type games and adult door prizes. All the children received a treat bag.
We had eight births, two marriages and three deaths reported this year.

Next years reunion will be at the Ava City Park on the second Saturday of September.
There was 35 family members attending the Annual Breshears get-together at Jack and Barbara Breshears on Saturday night.
